We are off to a great start for the Fall 2003 semester. The latest counts show the enrollments are up over last year, the Matrix center is nearing completion, and we have made it through the first week of the semester. I want to thank you all for the efforts you have given to get us off to a great start.

Thank you all for participating in the Fall Inservice/Accreditation meetings. It was great to have everyone, faculty and staff, together for the event. The committees working on the accreditation will be gathering information this semester for the report we will be presenting to the accreditation committee in April of 2005. Please assist them in their efforts.

It’s time to start thinking about nominations for the

PACE Executive Committee of 2004
 

There will be 5 board positions to fill for the committee.
Two are professional positions. Two  are classified positions. The
remaining position can be either a professional or a classified individual.

This is an exciting committee to be a part of  It is YOUR organization . . .

As a member of the Executive committee you will serve a one or two year position,
hold and attend monthly executive and representative meetings;  facilitate and participate
in trainings, serve as a liaison between PACE members and the Administration and be
supportive and encouraging to all PACE members.

Nominations will start the last week of October.  If you have any questions about the Executive Committee please contact one of the current members; Ann Flannery, Sarah Harris, Christy Jerke, Chris McManaman, Kat Powell, Tina Standlee or  Dannette Starr.

 We are counting on you to step forward and nominate yourself and those colleagues who can take this organization and its contributions into 2004 with great success and accomplishments!

I am an Idaho native and graduated from Filer High School. I have a B.S. in Business Administration (University of Idaho) and a Juris Doctor (University of Idaho). I practiced law (primarily business and nonprofit related) and worked for nonprofit organizations. I came to CSI from South Central Community Action Partnership, where I was Housing Director. I am both a former Peace Corps Volunteer (Philippines) and an Army Officer (Vietnam). I am honored and pleased to be working for the College of Southern Idaho and the older citizens of Magic Valley.

I am happy to have received the position of a Records Technical Specialist in the Admissions and Records Office. I came here from Salt Lake and from a position in the Admissions Office at the University of Utah. After taking a year off to be with my son, I have decided I missed Student Services too much, and these good people in the Records Office have decided to let me be a part of the staff here at C.S.I. I am very excited to be with you all. I am happily married and have a 2 year old son whom I adore.

My husband and I moved here from Utah this summer after he accepted a position as an Assistant Baseball Coach here at CSI. We are very happy to be here!
